My Practice

I bring humility, acceptance and care to my practice to create a nonjudgmental safe space for healing.   To do the work I do, entails doing my own work so that I can be present with you to do work as deep as you want to dive.   From tears to laughter, we work together.

I work with adolescents and adults in individual, couples and family therapy.   Modalities which inform my work include: family systems, psychosocial, dbt/dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR, trauma/somatic healing, mindfulness practices, attachment focused, EFT, Cognitive behavioral therapy and study of learning differences.  I have a keen interest in learning how the brain works, executive functioning,  about neuro-plasticity and how we can rewire neural pathways as well as tap into our strengths and use strategies for challenges.  Oftentimes, relationship issues result from lack of understanding  and acceptance of processing differences.

When working with an individual, a couple or a family, I am attentive to the process and interplay between the individual internal system, the family as well as external systems/environment.   I’m holistically oriented with my clients.

The body holds the memories and the truth.  I help educate clients to listen to the body and somatically tune in to the moments.

When we are seen and heard, healing happens.  Safety and empathy are fundamental for the change which happens when we are seen and heard, whether self exploration or sharing in a couple or family.   It takes courage and capacity to be vulnerable; to be truly present and intimate in our relationships.  I work to develop the safe conditions for intimacy such as acceptance and equality, as well as to develop vulnerability as a strength..  I work in a dynamic creative process, which unfolds uniquely in each session.

Issues that I am experienced and comfortable working with include:
